New Year's Resolution
Everytime i go take a peak at the bike game on craigslist or ebay there are always the "Ive had this bike laying around and i never got around to fixing it up" guy. Well im not gonna let that happen to me. I picked up this Vintage 1970's Campania "Medalist" a couple months ago and had it stored since. The company was originally based out of Van Nuys Ca. but went under in the late 70s. Some how i got the chance to climb around the owner's son's garage for a couple hours and pick out 3 of the best ones he had, and decided to keep the blue one for myself. I luckily also found the matching chain guard, front and back fenders, Sakae Japan stem and dropbars and even the bike's original owners manual. There are some nicks and scuffs from 30+ years in the garage but the bike has never been mounted or ridden!!. Im proud to say i own a piece of American Cycling History
Ill be sure to keep you posted with updates and pictures of the building process and for more pictures be sure to check out the new Never Low Flickr (<--- Click herrre)

SE Racing X DC Shoes X Standard Hotel NY
So here's another collab from SE Racing and DC Shoes, but this time they have teamed up with the Standard Hotel in New York City. A matte black finish on the bike, with both a gold velocity rim in the front and black in the back. Pay attention to the special detail in the seat, and the "Standard" plaque in gold on the DownTube. These bikes are available for rent to customers and residents of the Standard NY.
Notice the "Flip-"flop" hub feature for brakeless boogie like the messengers in NY, or you can ride freewheel and use the brake.

VeloSolo Bolt-On Cog: Go Hard
VeloSolo has come out with their heat-treated aluminum alloy, anodized and laser engraved version of their bolt-on cog. Since they are made of aluminum they do not have the Lifetime Guarantee that their Cro-Mo Cog. But rest assured they are some badass cogs. Made out of aircraft-grade heat-treated 7075 Aluminum they will hold-up very nicely for an average size rider. Im stoked on the fresh anodize and the idea of being able to tighten your cog with a easy to carry Allen key. Ride on.

Leader X Velocity X Mike Giant
Leader Bikes, Velocity Rims, and Artist Mike Giant have teamed up and come up with a sick ride and a piece of art for 2010.
Although i'm not a huge fan of Mike Giant's work, Or Leader bikes i am totally loving the idea of this bike. The quotes found on the bike and rims like "No Brakes"and "Cars Suck" gave me a little chuckle, but the "I Love SF" and "Frisco" turned me off. This bike is going to be set up, with a Paul Crank (The Royal Flush), the Velocity rims laced to Paul Hubs, Thompson Stem and Seatpost, and Soma Drop Cars. But wait!!! Starting bid for this bike, $6,000!!!! Bid Happy!!!
